Description
The Caravel Pinta was one of the three sailing ships that took part in the famous expedition of Christopher Columbus. Compared to Santa Maria and Nina, she was the fastest ship. Launched as a commercial unit, it had only 23 meters and a crew of 26 sailors. The small caravel happily returned from its trip to Europe, but its further fate is unknown. However, the sailor Rodrigo de Triana, who first spotted the coveted land of the New World from the stork's nest of Pinta, is history.
